visiting researcher workspaces
guideline
KonsortSWD (RDCnet)
Research data centers that wish to make sensitive microdata available must implement visiting researcher workspaces (GWAP) for this purpose. Such workstations are protected according to defined security criteria and are located in a controlled and secure environment in order to fulfill the data protection requirements for personal data.
As part of RDCnet, technical instructions have been developed for this purpose, which describe and present a reference system for using a thin client as a GWAP. This manual serves as a guideline for the IT staff of an RDC and can help to efficiently implement the technical concept of a GWAP.
